Code red – Scenario for healthcare developments

In 2009, the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport proposed new measures to mitigate the impact of the economic crisis on healthcare.

This report illuminates potential savings by expanding the B segment and improving chronic care. Finally, we discuss the possibility of closing hospitals when improving efficiency does not appear feasible.
